We have a multitude of sectoral orientated coalitions that cooperate closely together in the green sector. They each have their own focus and structure; yet work together in the Borderless Network projects.

The F&BKP is one of the five Knowledge Platforms for global development initiated by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Within this Platform, international networks and organizations of business, science, civil society and policy collaborate in the field of food and nutrition security. They identify knowledge issues that are relevant now and in the future and initiate learning and research. The Platform disseminates lessons learned and highlights promising innovations that will contribute to local and global food security. The F&BKP aims to stimulate long-term changes to increase food security in emerging economies and developing countries.

Topsector Horticulture & Reproduction materials is another topsector. This one focusses on all vegetable chains in the horticulture complex and reproduction materials. It’s a broad sector with subdivisions which vary from vegetables and fruits to flowers and bulbs. It seeks for sustainable solutions for problems which are coming with the growing world population. It is concerned about the development of crops which are more able to withstand extreme weather and need less protection. It offers enterprises and knowledge institutions the chance to join projects in these areas.

Topsector Agro & Food is one of the 9 topsectors in the Netherlands, which focusses on food, both primal production and processing, marketing and distribution. It stimulates the development of knowledge and innovation. The sector is committed to the production of sustainable food of high quality and also care about a sustainable food chain which pays attention to flora and fauna. It coordinates the innovation diary. It supports entrepreneurs to develop by connecting them to the right partners and to find financial support.

The Agrofoodcluster is a collaboration of agri and food based industry in the central part of the Netherlands. The aim is to stimulate and facilitate client driven integral solution for value chain development. The Agrofoodcluster works together closely with educational and research institutions and entrepreneurs. Because participants display and share their knowledge through the cluster high-quality (practical) knowledge is easier accessed. The Agrofoodcluster is especially strong in (seed)potatoes and onions.
